For 2021, Great Fall's own distance runner extraordinaire, Marilee Woyth is taking over the reigns. Marilee has run her share of races so knows the ropes and what athletes need and want in a distance event. She will introduce new ideas and new players into this event. Give her a shout if you'd like to join in the fun! Better yet, hit her up at Wednesday Night Runners or on the WNR facebook page! Amber Pederson, a seasoned runner and hiker herself, is also contributing the event. She is also typically found with the WNR group or with the Half Shell running group as well.
We're working on it! We have been unable to find anyone in Montana who can professionally certify our course. But we're still trying! Stay tuned!!
** Half Marathoners & 10k: Medal, Race bag
** Kid's Dash & 1 Mile walk: Race Bag
Please note... to keep costs down, we order our medals well in advance of the event. Usually months ahead and well before we know the race day count. We generally order based on previous years participant counts. If our Half Marathoners and 10k #'s exceed what we preordered for medals, the medals will go to the Half Marathoners first. HINT: Register EARLY so we have a better idea! :)
There are no registration refunds. If you register for the Half but cannot participate, you can defer your registration one year. No deferrals are offered for the 10k, 1 mile or kids dash.
Generally speaking, Race Montana does not cancel events. Covid-19 was a different story in 2020. However, we do not cancel for adverse weather. Rain, wind, snow, heat or smoke - it is your decision to run in the race day conditions. The event will go on for those who show up.

Mid August tends to be fairly warm in Great Falls, Montana. Mid 80's to 90's. Low humidity. It can also be smoky if the fire season is bad. Wind is always a possible factor in Great Falls. It wouldnt be Great Falls without wind. But generally it is usually sunny and clear.
We ALWAYS need MORE volunteers!! Contact us if you are interested in helping out with a water station or as a course guide!
